The legal section of our doula course was developed by a barrister who specializes in health law. Doulas will learn about the law as it affects the doula's work so that their work is legal and safe. We do not advise giving disclaimer forms to clients. There are not really worth the paper they are written on. We do have documents that doulas provide to their clients that keeps them free from the possibility of litigation for clinical practice. Doulas learn about the use of these documents during their course and are able to download their own copies from their student accounts.
